Reset empowers volunteers to welcome refugees into communities across the UK.
So far we’ve supported over 300 community groups to welcome over 1000 refugees into the UK.
We train and support volunteers right across the UK to prepare to welcome refugees and to help them settle and integrate once they arrive. We also work with local authorities and other organisations to support volunteers in making community-led welcome happen.
Since 2018, we have embraced other types of community-led welcome, enabling more groups and individuals to directly support refugees to reach safety in the UK.
Community Sponsorship enables friends and neighbours to welcome refugees into their community and help them settle into the area. Reset is the only organisation that provides the training Community Sponsorship groups need for the Home Office to approve their applications.
Reset’s Homes for Ukraine service matches people fleeing the war in Ukraine with UK sponsors who host them in their own homes or properties. Reset is one of the UK Government’s recognised providers for Homes for Ukraine.
Neighbours for Newcomers enables volunteers to welcome refugees arriving on skilled worker visas, including healthcare professionals, helping them settle into local communities.
What else?
We commission research to understand how community-led welcome works best and how it can grow. And we carry out advocacy to increase support for community-led welcome and influence policies that can make the UK more welcoming to refugees.
We receive funding from the UK Home Office and Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, as well as from philanthropic organisations.
