We’re delighted to announce a number of new training courses.

Barriers to education are real. We want all refugee children and young people to be able to access the level of education that’s right for them.

We’re constantly developing new resources to help Community Sponsorship groups. Sometimes this is because they’ve let us know there’s a specific need. These new courses available for Community Sponsorship groups and hosts can now be accessed via our e-learning platform on our training website.

What new courses do we have available?

We’ve the following new courses.

      • Supporting Refugee Students: Part 1 – Further Education,

      • Supporting Refugee Students: Part 2 – Higher Education,

      • Supporting Refugee Students in Schools,

      • Supporting Ukrainian Students in Schools.

These courses were developed to enable families and groups to explore issues around accessing Further Education. They cover up to date overviews of the education system in the UK. They’ll address the different levels in FE, discuss the funding requirements and possibilities, how enrolment works, and around the barriers that might stop people accessing FE. There’ll also be a wealth of resources around further support and help.

Reset has worked with the charity Refugee Education UK (REUK) to develop and deliver bespoke training for our Community Sponsorship group members so they can provide the best support to the families they welcome.

    About Refugee Education UK

Refugee Education UK are working towards a world where all refugee and asylum-seeking children and young people can access education, thrive in education, and use that education to create a hopeful, brighter future. They exist to enable refugee and asylum seeking children and young people to build more hopeful futures.
