How we support you
Welcoming a refugee family is a significant commitment and the application process is rigorous. Reset is here to help you every step of the way.
From answering your initial questions when you’re first thinking about Community Sponsorship right through to supporting you with the complex challenges you might face when you welcome a refugee family to your community.
Here are the things we offer:
Our informal online drop-in events are a chance for you to network, and to share experiences with and learn from other Community Sponsorship groups around the country.
As part of the application process, you will attend 2 compulsory training sessions with Reset. We also offer optional core skills training sessions.
Lead Sponsor introduction
Before you can submit an application to the Home Office you must have an agreed arrangement with a Lead Sponsor. Once you have attended an introductory drop-in event, we'll be able to tell you which Lead Sponsors are working in your local area and connect you.
We have extensive knowledge of the Home Office application process. We will work directly with your group to submit a high-quality application quickly. Once your application is complete you can use our application checking service before you send it to the Home Office.
At every stage of the Community Sponsorship journey, the Reset team can offer 1:1 advice over the phone.
Our advice line is available on 020 7459 4507.
Post-Arrival Support Visits
Our Post Arrival Support Visits provide a space for both the Community Sponsorship group members and family members to separately reflect on how their integration is progressing. As well as supporting the individuals concerned, these visits help us to spot trends and themes so that we can identify areas of the scheme that need improvement.
