About this training
Get to grips with the essentials of safeguarding adults and children. Whether you are new to safeguarding or looking to refresh your knowledge, this course will give you the tools you need to recognise, respond and report safeguarding concerns.
Community Sponsorship groups have a responsibility to safeguard the families they welcome into their communities. This training will ensure that you and your group is equipped to recognize and respond effectively to signs of harm or abuse. As refugee families often come from vulnerable backgrounds and may have experienced trauma, exploitation, or neglect, it is important that groups understand how to provide the support and protection these families need to settle and thrive.
How will this course work
This is a self-paced e-learning made up of videos, reflective questions and activities. You can dip in and out whenever it suits you—no classroom needed, just you and a cuppa!

Aims of this course:
- Explain what safeguarding vulnerable adults and safeguarding children means.
- Explain equality and intersectionality.
- Demonstrate indicators of abuse and neglect.
- Enable you to recognise, respond and report safeguarding concerns.
- Develop your skills to talk to the family you support about safeguarding.
- Practice responding to safeguarding concerns using practical scenarios that you may encounter.
Reset has been training and supporting groups since 2018. We have supported over 300 community groups to welcome over 1000 refugees into the UK.

This course is for anyone involved in Community Sponsorship.
