Community Sponsorship is a scheme enabling community groups in the UK to resettle refugees in their local areas. These community groups support refugees to access all the tools they need to rebuild their lives, including English lessons, employment and housing.
Community groups are made up of individuals in a neighbourhood who want to resettle refugees in their local areas. These groups have to make an application to the Home Office. Once a group's application is approved, they are matched with a refugee family and will provide support to this family over their first year in the UK. Community groups have access to lots of support from us at Reset, our partner organisations, local authorities, and the Home Office to make sure that they are fully equipped to provide this support.
