What is resettlement?

Resettlement is the process by which a refugee starts a new life in another country. Resettlement generally involves refugees being transferred from countries where they are living in precarious or dangerous situations to countries that have the capacity to support them and ensure that their rights are upheld. The refugees who are resettled in the UK via Community Sponsorship come from countries in the Middle East and North Africa region.
