This e-learning has been designed for Community Sponsorship groups who are welcoming a refugee family with children who may be interested in accessing Further Education. Refugee Education UK provide expertise on education for the forced migration sector and deliver an overview on the education system in the UK and considers funding entitlements, supporting with enrollment and barriers that may arise when accessing Further Education.
If you’re welcoming a family with children through Community Sponsorship – they may want to access Further Education at some point down the line. This e-learning explores the education system in the UK, access to funding and signposts you to further support available. Throughout this training you’ll also explore some of the barriers which may be faced for refugees accessing Further Education in the UK.
How will this course work
This is a self-paced e-learning course that you can complete in your own time. It’s learning that fits around your life, not the other way round.
Who is this course for?
This course is for Community Sponsorship group members who would like to learn more about supporting Refugee Students in Further Education.
Aims of this course:
Refugee Education UK who provide expertise on education for the forced migration sector have worked with Reset to create this e-learning focused on supporting refugee student in schools.
This course isn’t mandatory – but can be accessed by anyone involved in Community Sponsorship looking to support young people in Further Education.
